Settler v0.1

Guns, Germs and Steel put some ideas into my head. I got bored with my screen saver, and so decided to try and write my own. Here's the result: Settler v0.1

Be warned: this is still very much an alpha. If it formats your harddrive or steals your credit card numbers or something, I'm very sorry. But it you tell me about it, hopefully I can stop the next version from doing it!

(Oh, it's probably a Windows only thing. I know it works on 2k3 and XP, but I have no idea about anything else. You'll need the .NET 2.0 Framework. Just stick it inside your system32 directory, open up your Display control panel and go!)

EDIT: I've added a fix which should stop the crashing most people were telling me about. Re-download!

Comments:
The people of Wheat Good founded their town in the year 0 very, very far from the nearby rivers. They raised their flag and declared their alligience to their God (represented by the town leader), and went about begatting the next generation with their attractive-looking cousins. With a decade of fair weather, they had prospered to five score people, and sent some of their children inland to Maple Hill, which was also far from any nearby riverway.
However, then disaster set in, and the weather was poor. Within 20 years, Maple Hill had withered and died, and half a century later, the people who stated that, indeed, Wheat is Good had also perished when they found out they were lying. The congenital defects arising from the cosanguinious liasons may have also played a part. As did the 10 mile trek to the nearest source of clean, non-salty water.

One year later, a new group arrived at the coast, and saw the ruins where the Wheat was not quite Good enough. The laughed at the folly, and took their ships 1 mile down the coast, and founded their town of Fairville. They raised their flag and declared their alligience to their God (represented by the town leader), and went about begatting the next generation with their attractive-looking cousins...
